Dynamite is there to keep the life moving … “Still Life With Woodpecker” by Tom Robbins

Still Life With WoodpeckerStill Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

As always, Tom Robbins is entertaining in a wacky way. The story is a whirlwind of funny phrases and euphemisms.
It is full of unique and brilliant views on life, humanity and the world we live in.

However, be prepared to feel like you are submerged into a psychedelic acid trip inside Tom Robbin’s brain. If “Jitterbug Perfume” was written after a good night sleep post acid trip and “Skinny Legs and All” is a post-acid trip dream, “Still Life with Woodpecker” is the acid trip at its apex.

The conclusion is a bit vague, but the story is entertaining and thought provoking.
